For the first time in over 10 years, Pittsburgh will be hosting a Walk for Farm Animals. The Walk is on Saturday, October 2nd, World Farmed Animals Day. The Walk for Farm Animals is a 5K walk along the Southside Trail and all proceeds raised benefit Farm Sanctuary. Registration is at 10 AM and participants will meet at Riverfront Park. A family picnic is to follow the Walk which will include vegan food, kids' activities, information about farmed animals, music and more. Furry friends are also welcome!
